Hammersmith & City Line

C stock is currently the staple diet on both the Circle Line (no photos yet) and the Hammersmith and City Lines.
Here car 5509 leads a westbound train into Whitechapel.

At Paddington, the H & C shares the mainline station with trains on the former Great Western main line although the
practice of sharing platforms ceased in the 1960s. A Hamersmith bound train enters with car 5522 at its head with
First Great Western unit 165132 awaiting departure for Greenford.

A Barking train approaches with car 5705 leading. The numbers on the posts are to assist drivers in the event that the
emergency stop is activated by a passenger. They indicate to the driver how many coaches remain in the station.
So if the passenger emergency button is pressed the driver knows whether to stop the train or to continue to the next station.

5563 heads another Hammersmith train into the station.
